Provide Space Operations Command (SpoC) SSA/SDA/OSC/DSC force development support with emphasis on Science and Technology integration into all phases of force development.

Duties include:

  • Develop/Analyze space warfighting concepts, force designs and force architectures to assist SpOC collaboration with COCOMs, HQ USSF, Field Commands and Air Force Research Laboratories in development and advocacy of science and technology portfolio.
  • Interact with COCOMs, HQ USSF, Field Commands, Product Centers and defense agencies to identify and/or anticipate operational capability deficiencies and develop supporting science and technology effort.
  • Facilitate operation and management of USSF Chief Scientist directed mission area Capability Collaboration Teams to address science and technology needs in all phases of force development.
  • Prepare/deliver briefings/talking papers aimed at integrating and gaining planning advocacy for advanced technology demonstrations. Develop summaries of key issues and recommendations for Government leadership.
  • Participate with Integrated Process Teams and High Performance Teams to assist with technology transition and integration in Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction activities.
  • Attend conferences and other technical exchanges and provide reports as required (including summations of key issues and recommendations)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Masters degree, Technical Degree ideal (degree may be addressed via experience).
  • 5 years of experience Department of Defense force development.
  • 3 years of experience with developing, planning and/or executing science and technology programs. 
  • 3 years of experience supporting Space Situational Awareness, Space Domain Awareness and Space Control activities.
  • Experience supporting Special Access Programs. 
  • US Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI required
  • Willing to take and pass a CI polygraph
